    I think it s the same as in Europe. The only thing that puzzles me are the boundary markers along the delu condominial rivers. They make less sense to me,

    Yes Peter S, I fully agree with you on that definition of the DeNl neutral roads - I, too consider the middle of the road being the actual boundary line -

    Placing of an indirect marker is also done in Denmark, still with a plate on the road. Example at my site: http://www.geocities.com/graenser/rudboel8.html But

    I ve seen this zigzag thing before in a German street atlas (a municipal boundary in the Falk Berlin one), and suspect (although this is a bit of a wild guess)

    The Heringsbosch case is an older demarcation. They didn t put metal plates in roads like they do nowadays, because the road surface back then was not as it is

    Older maps and some current ones, when showing a boundary (dashed line) that follows al inear featuere (road, but particularly river), put alternate dashes on
