exact meaning might be &quot;Richtungsmarkierung&quot;,<br/>
&quot;Referenzmarkierung&quot; or something like that.<br/>

If you look carefully at the list of markers you will<br/>
find others with the prefix &quot;RM&quot;.<br/>
<br/>
Among those are #44, #58 and #105 of the<br/>
Mistelmark-Rhein bordersegment. All of those are<br/>
apparently located close to sections where double<br/>
markers, probably reference markers, are used.<br/>
<br/>
I believe the RM-markers mentioned above to be witness<br/>
markers at locations where for some reason double<br/>
markers were not used. <br/>
