The first photo is BY-UA, not RU. Also the writing in
the middle translates to "Freindship" and
"Brotherhood." Any guess if it is a witness mark or
the actual boundary?
Second photo - If he is just pretending to tack it up,
it could be on the Soviet post. But I don't know for
how long the "three marker" system has been in place,
nor when this photo was taken. Maybe before the 3
marker system, they really did have just one marker on
the actual boundary?
