Thanks for the link, Kevin! Very interesting material.

I see what you're saying about Greece. What I don't get is how they
got into EU in the first place. I mean, it would make sense if they
were joining now, with Cyprus and Malta, but back then...

>Maybe they don't have machine-readable passports ;-)
:) Yeah, right. It's probably refusal rates. I emailed the consualr
bureau asking if they had a table for last year, but no reply yet. Or
it could be lack of initiative from the other countries concerned. I
mean if Brunei can get this, why not Samoa? And talking about MR
passports, how did then Norway and Ireland get into VWP with their
handwritten! passports? And how is UK in the program, they don't
ensure thorough control of their borders, I went from UK
(nonSchengen) to France(Schengen) without anyone ever asking me for
identity, and I've had chances to observe the kind of "inspection"
performed in the EU/EEC/Switzerland immigration line in Gatwick - the
right cover does it. Well, I'm not saying these countries shouldn't
be in VWP, they certainly should, but official requirements just as
certainly aren't being met. As for Slovenia, I guess they got in
under the probationary program. Maybe that's why the probationary
program is no more :)))

Sorry, if I'm getting too irrelevant to borders
