Attached five pics of DE2BYHETH and the HETH border a bit to the north
of this tripoint.

To start with the latter one, the valley of the Birxgraben brook: It
can be seen that the former GDR border zone, devoid of trees, has been
reforested. The colour of the (younger) wood here is much lighter than
the surrounding wood. A is the HETH border and former Inner-German
boundary. The former treeless zone is in between A and B.

DE2BYHETH: A quarter of the stone is Thuringian. It bears the letters
GSW (Grand-Duchy of Saxony-Weimar, one of the old Thuringian states).
Standing in Thuringia, Hesse is to your left and Bavaria to your right.
Interesting is that the Thuringian quarter has a cut-off corner. The
letters GSW and the year 1877 are on a triangle which is oblique
vis-a-vis all other (straight) sides of the stone.

The Hessian side bears the letters KH (Kur-Hessen?), the Bavarian side
KB (Kingdom of Bavaria) and W (I think Wuerzburg, the capital of the
Bavarian district of Lower Franconia). Another side bears the letters
LG (Landesgrenze?).
