My venture to the MT/AB/BC tripoint was a no go, we hiked to the end <br/>
of the cameron lake trail and saw a picture of two guys at the <br/>
tripoint so it can be done. my wife would not risk it by ourselves <br/>
because of all the BEARAGE in the area. It was like pulling teeth <br/>
just to get her on the lake trail. There was a small path cut though <br/>
the woods off the end of the trail that was headed in the right <br/>
direction dont know how far that would have gone. At any rate it <br/>
would have been a nasty 1.5 km&#39;s up to the ridge at that location. <br/>
the before mentioned akamina pass trail may be the better bet, the <br/>
ridge is less steep there and attaining the BC/AB border would be <br/>
easy. I&#39;m not sure about the 4 km ridge walk south from there to the <br/>
tripoint it may not be that open. I guess i will try it next summer.<br/>

On the upside we visited Police outpost park to the east of waterton <br/>
park and were able to reach the montana/alberta vista with the ease <br/>
of a 2 km walk. The border monument there was not marked with a <br/>
number but we do have pics if i can get them on the puter i will post.<br/>
