Hi all

My venture to the MT/AB/BC tripoint was a no go, we hiked to the end
of the cameron lake trail and saw a picture of two guys at the
tripoint so it can be done. my wife would not risk it by ourselves
because of all the BEARAGE in the area. It was like pulling teeth
just to get her on the lake trail. There was a small path cut though
the woods off the end of the trail that was headed in the right
direction dont know how far that would have gone. At any rate it
would have been a nasty 1.5 km's up to the ridge at that location.
the before mentioned akamina pass trail may be the better bet, the
ridge is less steep there and attaining the BC/AB border would be
easy. I'm not sure about the 4 km ridge walk south from there to the
tripoint it may not be that open. I guess i will try it next summer.

On the upside we visited Police outpost park to the east of waterton
park and were able to reach the montana/alberta vista with the ease
of a 2 km walk. The border monument there was not marked with a
number but we do have pics if i can get them on the puter i will post.
