 </span></blockquote>There is an old story (not sure if it is true) that states that at the start<br/>
of the First World War, the exact position of the english/scotish border was<br/>
in dispute, as in the past Berwick was part of scotland. So when the war<br/>
started, England and Scotland seperatly declared war on Germany and since<br/>
Berwick was unsure which side of the border it was, it also declared war on<br/>
Germany.<br/>

But Berwick never signed the peace treaty at the end of the war, so<br/>
technically it is still at war with the German Empire...</div>
