the oft proposed state of jefferson you have been talking about here on the west coast isnt the same as the actual historic state of jefferson that evidently existed entirely within what is now colorado from 1858 until at least 1859 & thus even before colorado was a territory

& for that reason i believe only this latter state of jefferson qualifies as an actual nonunited state of america



it also reminds me that we may have to add deseret to our list of nonunited states also

since congress wouldnt seat its delegate in 1849
