Hi Hugh,
I don't believe I was the person who stated that I was successful in
reaching the tripoint. I think Aletheia mentioned my "success." In
fact, I did state that I did not make it on the water tripoint nor
did I determine where it was exactly located.
The only credit that I can take is standing on all three sections by
going through the regular passport controls. Some of you have been
to other tripoints and have walked around them. I couldn't do that
because the tripoint is located in the river. Since I was by myself,
I didn't want to have to deal with possible border guards looking at
my non-EU passport if I decided to wade into the water.
I hope someday one of you will be willing to get your feet wet and
stand (or swim) at the Zittau tripoint.
