is looking more like 190 meters now<br/>

both markers are more or less exactly at north lat 17 deg 49 min<br/>

the old marker<br/>
is at west long 89 deg 09 min 06 sec & 749 thousandths<br/>
datum presumably nad27<br/>
per united states state dept in ibs number 159<br/>

& the new marker<br/>
is at west long 89 deg 09 min 00 sec & 283 thousandths<br/>
datum unknown<br/>
per belizean concession & joint resurvey made in 2002<br/>

if these longitudes are expressed in the same datum<br/>
then the distance between them would be 190 meters<br/>
<br/>
but just in case they are slightly at odds with each other<br/>
i can corroborate that the roughly 50 mile long sliver <br/>
containing roughly 3 & a half square miles of territory<br/>
as indicated by the same belizean source<br/>
would have to have a closing leg of very roughly 225 meters<br/>
<br/>
so the best guesses range from 190 to 225 meters apart<br/>
but much more likely 190<br/>

if the first marker you find is old <br/>
just go about that far east to find the new one<br/>

& if the first marker you find is new <br/>
just go about that far west to find the old one<br/>
