If you don't have a dot-per-inch reducing utility in your graphics
program, try saving them with a name that has suffix .jpg. Your
program SHOULD prompt you with an option to compress the files. If
so, a 10% reduction will probably reduce the size 40% with very little
loss, and 30% will still be quite acceptable for viewing.
OR, in the group's photos section, make a folder, and upload only one
picture to it as a test. The Yahoo software reduces picture file size
immensely with good results. After you loaded your test pic, open it
with your browser, right click your mouse, check "properties" and see
if the size is acceptable. If it is, then do the others the same way
into the same folder.
