I would like to mention two map sites, one each for
the last two threads of mailings.
Firstly, the site http://www.gdsc.bia.gov/districts/
is good for indian reservations. Census maps also
have Indian reservations, but this site has much less
clutter. Check out Pine Ridge in North Dakota, the
portion of Navajo in Arizona along with ones already
mentioned.
Secondly, the site
http://ngis2.statkart.no/norgesglasset/default.html
that is in my link page is very good on the islands on
the map near Trestickan National Park. The two
turning point islands can be detailed to what I
believe are the boundary stones. I don't see the
third island, but a boundary stone does show up.
Maybe that's only piece of "land" in the third island.
Unfortunately, I have not found a way to just download
the maps I need in either page. Maybe somebody can
print and scan the maps for me.
Arif
