i agree
the class designations are useful only for comparing the various
basic levels of success
but there is no reason to distinguish among these levels when
counting the total number of points tried

thats why i figure rolf & peter are simply tied for gold
at 20
while you are also simply tied for bronze with harry & doug
at 19
without any need to get into hairsplitting or tiebreaking

quite far from the expected spot.

as i think gideon at least correctly recognizes
this trijunction is in the legally unresolved or default condition
so an equidistance tripoint remains the leading probability
& is a matter of simple computation
for which i think he also provides the correct solution
unless & until contradicted by some actual agreement to the
contrary

but regardless
your try was in earnest whatever it was
so it counts as a point tried imo

also i think it is a good thing that there still remains somewhere
to go for future tries or for future generations
both on this point & on the 2 following points you mention below
tho i dont agree that a disputed tripoint position amounts to the
same thing as a triline

rather a disputed position simply means a split point
& so naturally you get a bonus try in that case
& no loss or diffusion of anything really
tho it only counts as a single trijunction

but you could still bag both halves of such a split point
class a & class a
for a combined class aa visit i suppose

also i am glad to learn you are still aiming at so many as 5 of the
baltic tripoints
& that so many as 4 of these remain unsettled
& i expect this will make of it the most challenging eebie to date
particularly in view of the great distances & primitive conditions

but is not at the same spot on HR and SI official post 1991
maps. The area quite in accesible and would require much
more time and effort.

asked. We tried HRHUYU(YU) and ended up 500 meters from
the spot, before we were wanted to go any longer. Anyway the
former Yugoslavian side of the border is disputed between HR
and YU and you could call it a triline.
