The sliver in MD is Montgomery County.  At a half mile out from the quad-point
it is only about 300 feet wide.

apologies
especially to jack who brought it in
but the cafrhomo slice is apparently only 6 or 7 degrees
& so it outshrinks even the octapoint in this regard
