so you cant even imagine 3 big rivers here unless you zoom out <br/>
i still cant account for the drift of the junction point of the <br/>
chattahoochee & flint rivers <br/>
forming the apalachicola river just there<br/>
from the position determined by ellicott in 1799 <br/>
surviving today as true gasw <br/>
to the slightly more easterly or southerly position<br/>
as suggested by the usgs depiction of the boundary <br/>
subsequently delineated along the flint river between decatur & <br/>
seminole counties of georgia<br/>

how could these 2 descriptions of the same thing <br/>
namely the mouth of the flint river<br/>
not have arrived at or become rationalized to a single point<br/>
<br/>
perhaps the 2 versions differ by only the difference between the <br/>
midchannel & thalweg positions<br/>
but i dont recall ever seeing any such distinctions in this region<br/>
<br/>
so unless there is some statutory evidence to the contrary<br/>
& even in the teeth of conflicting map evidence<br/>
i think this is a real candidate for an interstate tertiary quadripoint <br/>
with gadsden & jackson counties of florida<br/>
namely prospectively us2flga3degajase<br/>

it will at least make a worthy companion to the equally <br/>
unconfirmed termegapt prospect found at cone<br/>
which jack has rightly questioned for looking like a near miss too<br/>
the also merely prospective us2cone3dekepese<br/>

& apart from these 2 hopefuls<br/>
the us2ncsc3codihoro point found yesterday near the south of <br/>
the border resort is 1 of only 5 known classmates<br/>
<br/>
the others are the famous but trivial azconmut 4corners<br/>
since it is a quadristate point <br/>
so obviously a quadricounty too<br/>
namely us2azconmut3apmosasa<br/>
plus<br/>
the also famous but not so trivial gancsc & dcmdvan<br/>
which form us2gancsc3jamaocra & us2dcmdvan3arfamowa<br/>
respectively<br/>
the latter being not really a quadricounty but quadritertiary anyway<br/>
since both washington dc & independent cities factor into it<br/>
plus<br/>
the 6th principal meridian base point <br/>
aka us2ksne3jerethwa<br/>
& finally <br/>
the uniquely not otherwise distinguished us2nesd3bechshsh<br/>
at the nw corner of nebraskas grotesquely huge cherry county<br/>
<br/>
it is possible others will be found <br/>
especially where major rivers cross state lines<br/>
so the search continues<br/>
but 7 is now looking like a probable maximum count<br/>
<br/>
