Hi all: sorry for the delay...

I was stolen away for Homecoming weekend at my alma mater. So here are my
posted pics!

The first of them is the border plaque on the outside of a divided
apartment between Derby Line, Vt. and Stantead, Quebec.

The second is the apartment with bordermarker in front. In this photo,
Canada is to the right, and the U.S. is to the left (on the bordermarker,
the flags were placed on opposite sides as a goodwill gesture).

The third is a view from the balcony of the apartment...US to the right,
Canada to the left.

More following...

that I will ask Lyle to pass on the border marker to me if he's just going
to let it sit there... I wonder what the FedEx charge would be?Or perhaps
we could bring it with us on the GBBE -- and claim Kalingrad for Canada and
the US!Doug----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Kaufman To:

Mine will be up after the 26th. I still can not believe how far that
"Welcome to Vermont" sign was inside Quebec - somewhat ridiculous. I also
hope Lyle gets that bordermarker up and does something nice with it (garden
sculpture?) - although that might lead to some great confusion! Doug

clearing up that 25 year old mystery for me. I knew the river had no
direct bearing with the boundary, but had always (erroneously) suspected
that the line bisected the bridge. Nice job on the map by the way!BillYour
