this entire apparently spontaneous quiz eruption is actually the
latest in a series of reverberations dating back to the message
sequence 648 646 408 404 390

what remains surprising to me in all this is the apparent fact that
new jersey hasnt made a similar claim on all those portions of
liberty island such as piers & backfill that must inevitably have
also expanded upon the original territory of that island as well

i mean relative to its size at the time of the same 1834 njny compact
that enclaved ellis island

in the 116 years since the statue of liberty was installed there in
1886 there must also have been some improvements made there in the
course of the ongoing development of the national monument facilities
by the nps

that is my presumption but i think it is a safe presumption

& i have to figure that by the same regime of the 1834 compact & 1998
supreme court decision regarding ellis island at least some small
parts of liberty island must therefore also belong to new jersey

but it appears to me that new jersey for some reason just hasnt
realized this yet or cared to pressed its similarly due claim
