I cannot believe these folks at the "world most friendliest border"
can be so much on your back. In Eastern Europe we could have been
arrested many times, but was actually never really bothered.
How was pre 9-11 at the border?

- Having many, many chances to explain the reason for
being on the border to
Border Patrol agents, Immigration officials and
Customs officers. After a
while, this got quite tiring and
stressful. Especially when 3 border patrol
cars showed up when Mike
and I were checking out some unofficial crossings
(despite warning the
Customs folks).
I'm back to Canada tomorrow -- a night in Toronto
before returning home to
Vancouver where I will post all sorts of
pictures!!
