this is actually big news if true
since they so recently agreed to honor the monumented points & line
that were previously so long & bitterly in dispute

perhaps this is a subsequent friendly adjustment tho
in the course of the ongoing negotiation
i dont know

however til it is confirmed my natural skepticism of local informant
data suggests that this report might only be the result of a multiple
misunderstanding of the 1 kilometer neutral zone that was also
established along both sides of the entire bzgt line a couple of
years ago when the negotiation began
producing a combined double buffer strip of 2km

& in that case the 600 meters or 6 tenths of 1km could simply be a
scrambling & rescrambling in somebodys mind of the 6 tenths of a mile
that approximates to the 1km of buffer lying eastward of the
previously agreed tripoint
hence not a new tripoint but a new limit & nw corner of uncompromised
belizean territory

just guessing & still puzzling
