ay ay ay you have done it again doctor

these are the best maps of mexico we have seen here yet

& as they are authentically slow & typically lackadaisacal loading
too
i have been mesmerized by them for hours
checking & clearing up all the fine points i had been wondering
about in the dark for all these years

like for example we can now be sure for the first time that there
are in fact no mexican megapoints
as the potential conusaza & gujasaza
our 2 hopeful quadristate points involving san luis obispo &
zacatecas & various neighbors
must bite the dust in view of your new improved data
showing them rather as near misses or close tripoint pairs

also i just cant believe these fat interstate boundary stripes
several km wide & often even of variable thickness
ay caramba
but if they reflect reality accurately as i imagine they well might
then this explains why i couldnt find chcotx nor conutx nor nutatx
this winter

for these are not shown as points at all
but actually as short reaches of the rio grande thalweg

but with all that leeway in my favor
i guess it is fair to conclude that i got them right in such case

& notice chnmso especially
what a mess
glad i skipped that one

so in a word it is hard to rationalize all this but i think your maps
may actually be telling it exactly like it is down there
carefree

anyway turning to bzgtmx
your & dougs point
locally known as vertice aguas turbias or troubled waters
terminus
i think your map confirms that the approach from mexico would
be needlessly difficult in requiring several km of swamps etc to
be crossed on foot from the village of pioneros del rio
when we already know it is probably possible to approach to
within about 1 km of the tripoint by road in dry jungle in belize
probably a pretty fair road by belizean standards too since it runs
thru some mennonite communities
proceeding westward along the bzmx line from orange walk

neustadt comes to mind as the final outpost of civilization
or at least thats what my killer belize map as mentioned in
message 875 but now lost used to show

but fortunately that map was made in vancouver
so it ought to be easy for doug to find it again himself there

also i see the tripoint is located amidst a cluster of national
parks to which several group tours are offered on line
so even a pozor elite may find it most agreeable to just jump in
the back seat of some tour van again despite being unable to get
there directly from vienna in this case

i see there is also a 15 dollar guatemalan government topo
available on line
but no reason to believe that purchase is necessary
nor that a guatemalan approach would be advisable or even
possible once the seeker is in belize

the monument has evidently been surrounded by a 15 meter
clearing recently owing to an outbreak of peace in the area
& almost 2 years have passed since any bzgt hostilities have
occurred
so the troubled waters should be purely nominal

other details in messages 2185 & 2193
