Isn't that strange. All these years of hearing just Wendover, Nevada and seeing it on maps, and I find out its actually West Wendover. Thanks to Dan and Brendan for bringing this to my attention. Colloquially both towns are known only as Wendover, and in all of their tourist ads they only say Wendover, Nevada. I didn't know negotions were under way to change the border. I knew that the smaller and depressed community on the Utah side was trying to petition the state legislature to allow gaming just in this one tiny part of the state so that the community could survive. When this didn't pass, apparently they've gone to changing the borders. Fascinating stuff.

Oh yeah, you might want to add Wendover, Nevada-Wendover, Utah to your list. It's a fascinating place, where gambling is permitted on one side of town (one side of the parking lot too) but not the other. Some of the casinos on the Nevada side have their front doors within only a few feet of the border line! I believe Lake Tahoe, Nevada/California is that way as well.

Dallen,

It is, but actually I think neither have the same name.  The California town in the south Lake Tahoe area is (surprise!) South Lake Tahoe, much larger than it's cross-border counterpart, Stateline.  I don't think Stateline is incorporated, however.
Wendover's Nevada twin town is West Wendover, unless they have combined per a post somebody put out several months back.
