While in Kansas to attend my grandson's graduation from K State
we visited a couple of county quad points. One was of particular
interest. The attached picture does not show the street signs as
clearly as I wish, but you will note that there are four corner
posts, one placed by each county.

Joyce is standing on the quad-point(no markers)in the middle of
the intersection, facing SW. Dickinson Co. is the NE quadrant,
Saline Co. is NW, Marion Co. is SE, and McPherson Co. is SW.
Dickinson County, upper right, behind Joyce is bounded by Solomon
Road to the north and 100th Ave. to the east. South from the
quad-point the bounds of Marion Co. are 370th to the east and
Meridian to the south. McPherson Co. is bounded by Winchester Rd.
and 30th Ave., and the Saline Co roads are Solomon and Coronado
Heights. With different names on each side of the roads it seems
obvious the center line is the boundary. Only Solomon Rd. is
common to two Counties, Saline and Dickinson.

It was a bit peplexing at first to see so many signs and you can
see that two sign are in the SW quadrant and two in the NE quadrant,
which made it more difficult to sort it out. This is in the middle
of nowhere and we didn't see anybody to ask about this. The map
programs don't have all the road names right but they helped.
