between the rivers tuira & balsas which fall into the eastern end of the golfo de san miguel you may find the villages of pinogana & arusa very near the south end of the northward road
but there is no named village anywhere near the north end of the road coming north from colombia to about midway between arusa & tucuti where it too quits
at least according to multimap
however a recent national geographic atlas runs this northward road away from the pacific & all the way up to acandi on the caribbean coast of panama & gives less hope of any connection so i really dont know
in any case it appears the entire gap is in easternmost panama in the southern part of the province of darien
