for some reason the aaa road atlas endeavors in its 2000 edition to depict
for the first time the maritime boundary of the state of california

it fails utterly not only by showing the boundary at a distance of 12nm from
the coast rather than 3nm
but also by neglecting to surround the channel islands with any maritime
territory at all

i am fairly sure aaa has never tried this before for california
nor for any other state
nor is any other state than california so treated in this edition

i know aaa is often a bit sketchy about the back roads
but what could possibly have occurred to produce such an extravagant blunder
