First, a few requests.
(1) I was looking at the site on America's and
world's lowest points (Yay, Jack!). There are quite a
few countries with area below sea level. It is quite
instructive, I have to say. But I was wondering if
there was any page that identifies how big each of the
depressions below sea level are or if there is any
book that does the same.
(2) US post office has issued Eid Stamps.
Unfortunately, they also issued the condition that one
million of them have to be sold for them to continue
issuing it (Can you think what would happen if they
set same limits on Hanukkah, Christmas or Kwanzaa
stamps). So, if any of you live in US and buy stamps
in post office, please buy those stamps. Hey, it is a
big thing for muslims to be recognized as true
Americans.

I have looked at the map of Mar and Tierra on the
website by Mr Schippke. However, the islands he
identifies as Mar and Tierra has a different name in
Moroccan maps. As it is a Moroccan map, they might
have changed the names of the islands. A Spanish
encyclopedia also identifies the two islands being
towards the east and about 1/10th the size of
Alhucemas, but that maybe my mistaken translation from
the Spanish. Thus I can't deny nor confirm whether
the islands identified as Mar and Tierra is correctly
done so. Unfortunately, I have misplaced the
photocopies of the Moroccan map and copy from the
encyclopedia.
I also misplaced my photocopy of a map from Cambridge
History Atlas where they showed Hamburg as an outlet
for Czechoslovakia. Obviously, I didn't think it was
still Czech, or I would have mentioned it as one of my
virtual enclaves. The atlas did not mention whether
the sovereignty was Czech or not. Actually, if I
remember it correctly, there were two ports, one each
on Elbe and Neisse. Hamburg and Stettin (Cziescyn)
were the ones, I believe. By the way, there was also
areas of Bulgaria in Greece and Yoguslavia in Italy
(less than a mile away from their border in Rijeka).
