No. For the simple reason that many people in the Netherlands <br/>
wouldn&#39;t like it and some would even be offended. Limburgian and <br/>
Frisian people, for example, don&#39;t like it when it is said to them <br/>
they live in Holland. Because they don&#39;t live in Holland.<br/>

Remember also that it was Belgium that split away from the <br/>
Netherlands (not unlike Bangladesh/Pakistan), and it was not a case <br/>
of a country that split in two, creating two countries (like <br/>
Czechoslovakia).<br/>

BTW: the name Belgium (Belgica) is the name of an old province of the <br/>
Roman empire, and later became the Latin name for, yes, the <br/>
Netherlands. &quot;Leo Belgicus&quot; was the Latin translation of &quot;the Dutch <br/>
(=Netherlandic) Lion&quot;. So the Netherlands and Belgium at one stage <br/>
meant the same, i.e. the original 17 provinces.<br/>
