Remember, on the LU side of the river, opposit of the other one, was also a
half-burried bordermarker.

This bordermarker, is my conclusion, is a Belgian marker.
This type of markers are at the BE/NL and also at the BE/LU borders.
(see for BE/NL Eef Berns and for BE/LU my website)

It seems a bit odd, that a such a marker may stand (deep) in supposed LU
soil.
I don't know what conclusion to draw, but a possibility might be that the
little river changed its course over the years.

A pitty the weather was so bad when the GCEBE was at the tripoint.
I would, for example, like to know what the number of the above mentioned
marker is.
And: What type of markers are at the BE/FR border???? The GCEBE did not
cross that border ;-(
I even forgot to take a picture of the fence.

Tips for everybody that likes to visit the tripoint:
Francis Combar marked the GPS waypoint: N49 32.781 E5 49.115,
please take a shovel to dig out the marker to look for the number,
go there in a dry summer, put on some boots and you might be able to cross
the little river.

Jesper, how is the orientation of your little drawing? Where is north?
