The GCEBE team members have three versions of BEFRLU

1) The fence (border BEFR?) meating the river Chiers
2) A small brook (border BEFR?) meating the river Chiers
3) The border marker on "Belgium" side of fence/brook

This is what I have received from Luxembourg so far:

Concerning the border between France and Belgium, I have no precise information on our luxemburgish maps (only an indication that the border is at the confluent with the small brook).
The official text (translated from french!) of the delimitation treaty between Luxembourg and France of 1820 says: " ..from this point... the border follows a straight line in direction south-east between the meadow of... and the property of.... up to the river Chiers..".

So one must admit that in 1820 there was probably no brook.
In order to find the actual definition of the border, one has to consult the cadastral documents of France or (and ) Belgium.
