I know I should have brought it up when the question
on Maienbuhl was asked, but isn't it a possibility
that the salient is just the normal border somehow. I
am guessing there are salient-type shapes which follow
historic or village lines if not some natural
boundary. I am saying all this because I don't
remember anybody responding to Peter's e-mail on the
salient. By the way, Brendan, Tetulia district looks
somewhat like a salient. Is there some oddity behind
that?
I was looking at the online atlas of Sweden and was
looking at the area of Trestickan National Park around
which three divided islands we discussed earlier
exist. I noticed that the boundary stone 3, on the
island Takeholmen, is in some sort of Swedish local
boundary. It also looks like on Norwegian maps to be
on two different Norwegian local boundaries, creating
a kinda-quintipoint. Can't think of any other
boundary stone that is in the intersection of so many
different straight lines except our famous Buoy in
Florida.
