many of the best maps & even a satpic
http://www.geocities.com/jesniel/
& much other received wisdom besides
all seem to conspire to place the tripoint in the
middle of flood prone kavak island
at an oft renewed ceremonial monument
or in other words just about where you see the pushpin
in the attached tripoint stretching diagram

however my own best guessed position for legal bggrtr
as shown by the little red square at the end of the
stretcher line there
is the one all 3 ibs bulletins say is stipulated in
the border treaties
specifically
in the middle of the main channel of the river
supposedly 60 meters due south of indirect grtr marker
1 & direct bgtr terminal marker 320
both of which are said to be at the southern extremity
of kavak island

& granted that the river & islands keep moving about
& that there is much confusion about the monument
numbering
still
the most probably authoritative tripoint position
where the geodetic bgtr convergent strikes the middle
of the main channel of the river
cant be ignored
unless & until we find documentation to the contrary
& indeed shouldnt be too hard to find on any given day
at least from outer space
