of the marowijne on the same serra<br/>

the brazilians subscribe to the french position btw<br/>
& the encarta depiction agrees <br/>
& appears to designate mont mitaraka as the tripoint<br/>
peak <br/>

i was reduced to groping for these features largely on<br/>
the basis of altitude readings<br/>
which produced the frankly speculative but hopeful<br/>
result shown on the tripoint stretching diagram<br/>
attachment<br/>
after i finally settled on the highest peak in the<br/>
neighborhood<br/>

in the case of the surinamese version of brfrsr <br/>
there is no such singular high point to home in on<br/>
whether rightly or wrongly<br/>
so i didnt even try that one<br/>

the situation with brgysr is highly similar<br/>
except in that case both head streams are called by<br/>
the same name<br/>
tho sometimes distinguished as the kutari curuni<br/>
courantyne for the guyanese version & the new<br/>
courantyne or just the new river for the surinamese<br/>
version<br/>
& the serra sometimes has a different name but is the<br/>
same highlands on which both of the brfrsr positions<br/>
are situated too<br/>

& again the brazilians are not buying the surinamese<br/>
position but favor the guyanese version in this case<br/>
