& just southeast of an island named san jose<br/>
which however is expressly cut in half by the brco<br/>
convergent arriving from the southwest<br/>

& tho it is easy enough to identify the rock of cucui<br/>
in the satpic as the northernmost of the 2 or 3 orange<br/>
blobs just east of the tripoint area<br/>
& to then also identify san jose island in all<br/>
probability as the one that is cut in half by the<br/>
incorrectly bent as well as incorrectly positioned<br/>
google earth cove border<br/>
yikes<br/>
nevertheless the above legal description <br/>
even when not further muddled by erroneous border<br/>
overlays <br/>
does produce a geographical impossibility in its own<br/>
right<br/>

moreover there are at least 2 additional anomalies in<br/>
the treaty texts<br/>
which all together make the situation far too<br/>
complicated to resolve satisfactorily in any case<br/>
at least for me <br/>
at this great distance & with such poor & conflicting<br/>
data <br/>

that the geodetic brco & brve convergents are indeed<br/>
supposed to converge with the living thalweg carrying<br/>
the cove convergent<br/>
all exactly as shown<br/>
in a hypothetical triple coincidence that no real<br/>
thalweg would ever stand still for<br/>

nevertheless i can still scrunch everything together &<br/>
give you my best guessed tripoint stretching diagram <br/>
such as it is<br/>
which is again attached as usual<br/>
but with the most extreme collection of caveats yet<br/>
assembled<br/>
& some not even mentioned<br/>

moreover in fairness to jespers pushpin i should<br/>
probably add that a brazilian source concedes the<br/>
entire san jose island to colombia <br/>
but i figured if in doubt he himself would prefer a<br/>
divided island to an undivided one<br/>
