rud river keeps moving about as it carries both afir &<br/>
irtm along its thalweg<br/>
per the treaties or ibs interpretation thereof plus<br/>
the soviet topo<br/>

& i couldnt positively identify the main stream on the<br/>
satpic<br/>

but fortunately the aftm convergent is a stable<br/>
demarcated land border<br/>
& it was possible to plot its dry terminus on the<br/>
above topo <br/>
at about n lat 35d36m22s & e long 61d16m30s<br/>
& to then probe for that geoposition on google earth<br/>
with my mouse pointer<br/>
which resulted in the attached estimated wet tripoint<br/>
position<br/>

again please look for the little red square at the end<br/>
of the short measuring line <br/>
which extends in this case southwest from the<br/>
erroneous google overlay tripoint<br/>
<br/>
however<br/>
given all the possible variables including the wildly<br/>
meandering river <br/>
i am not at all confident of this position to within<br/>
the usual 100 meter range <br/>
but might want to hedge that up to as much as a full<br/>
kilometer in this special case<br/>
<br/>
& lets hope there are still a couple of old afsu<br/>
markers standing there <br/>
as there should be<br/>
to give us the necessary terminal sight line along<br/>
aftm <br/>
down the bluff & into the river<br/>
