thanx again hugh
you are quite right
& i am glad you mentioned our good old bp description
which is admittedly far more confusing than it needs
to be
mainly because whoever changed it last dropped the
word
t h e s e
presumably inadvertently
which i have reinserted for you in your transcription
of it here below

& i would agree with you that the present wording on
our home page is all the more confusing now that we
have created borderpoint too for practically
everything else that anyone has ever wanted to tack on
here at boundarypoint
whether unique in the originally intended sense or not

& whether actually pertinent or not

& of course it makes no sense at all to create a
unique site to specially honor these unique points
while also specially honoring anything else anybody
likes
as if all that were also equally unique & equally
pertinent

no sense at all

yet somehow thats what has actually happened over the
past 5 years
&
since hospitality has always been a higher value here
at bp than sense or authenticity or veracity or
accuracy etc
let alone multipunctiliousness
you can well imagine & perhaps even already see how
all the
as well ases & includings
somehow got added to our description over the years
by well meaning tho i think misoriented individuals

& this just because everyone kept talking about
whatever they liked
which is after all a very fine thing to do
even in disregard of the actual & admittedly
increasingly unclear original intention behind the
group

you can even see how this happened if you care to read
our first few hundred messages & just infer the rest
from there

but at least some of us have always been & continue to
be in earnest about the multipointing fun for which
the group was actually created

& our latest & i think quite successful effort to
accommodate all the other interests & funs that have
landed here over the years
even while maintaining our original deliberate focus
on multipointing fun
is embodied by
voila
the new borderpoint list

& it is for this reason that i so look forward to your
multipointing reports here & wish you would direct
people who are interested in multipointing to
boundarypoint
& people who are interested in international borders
to borderpoint

esoteric we are

i like that

thanx
