probably the most critical moment of the day yesterday<br/>
occurred just where i left off in the previous message<br/>
or<br/>
as i was proceeding from the second point of the<br/>
planned sequence<br/>
namely mooty<br/>
to the third<br/>
aka beotty<br/>
but was dumbfounded to find myself already on the<br/>
approach pattern for the 4th try in the planned string<br/>
of 6<br/>
belety<br/>

& as i pondered what such a cosmic joke meant & what<br/>
to do about it <br/>
i was already pointed willy nilly into the appalachian<br/>
trail parking area which <br/>
again by coincidence <br/>
is also provided for belety  <br/>
<br/>
<br/>
but i still couldnt be sure if this was a very<br/>
meaningful event or not<br/>
since i knew my sequencing was entirely arbitrary to<br/>
begin with<br/>
& had already established that it isnt even possible<br/>
to visit all 44 tri berkshire points in a single<br/>
continuous train anyway<br/>
as you can also pronounce for yourself almost as soon<br/>
as you try it <br/>
on this otherwise useless pronouncing map<br/>

what would happen if i scrambled my own subjective<br/>
plan for the world record try<br/>

& since i could only answer this by trying it<br/>
& was so perfectly poised to do so<br/>
i quit fussing over point 3 & simply proceeded with<br/>
point 4<br/>

the appalachian trail delivered me across the mass<br/>
pike on foot bridges<br/>
& i soon found the little dry creek that the topo<br/>
suggested i climb southward to the tripoint <br/>
& happily it was wet enough to sawanabori & even<br/>
entertain visions of reaching & drinking from a<br/>
tripoint spring<br/>

but i found the lety town line was also marked with<br/>
pink ribbons <br/>
affording another silver plattered delivery in any<br/>
case<br/>
to a gold blazed belety rock in this case with a nail<br/>
in her top dimple<br/>
& with no spring but at least a pool to drink near her<br/>
foot<br/>

i then doubled back & tried again to grope my way onto<br/>
my beotty topo swatch<br/>
but after merely getting lost<br/>
i decided i would save this one for later in the hope<br/>
of getting another chance to scope it out on topozone<br/>
at a library stop before the day was over<br/>

so i continued on to belewa<br/>
who should have been 5th<br/>
& made her 4th<br/>

the side road leading north toward the tripoint from<br/>
becket road was gated so i walked it<br/>
wondering all the while exactly how i would home in on<br/>
the target<br/>

at first i thought to just continue bushwhacking with<br/>
a nnw beeline from the point where the trail turns due<br/>
north<br/>
but the woods were too dense there<br/>
so i just continued on the trail hoping i would get<br/>
some further clue<br/>
<br/>
now i had been noticing an occasional pink ribbon on<br/>
this trail too<br/>
but since i couldnt explain these as the usual town<br/>
line markers<br/>
i wondered if they might not have been left there by<br/>
the same town line survey people as aids in finding<br/>
these markers<br/>
<br/>
& when at length i saw a pair of pink ribbons on the<br/>
left at right angles to the trail<br/>
i figured they might just be pointing to the tripoint<br/>
which i calculated should lie 132 paces along their<br/>
line if so<br/>
& tho there were no other pink ribbons to follow in<br/>
this case<br/>
i walked straight to the rock<br/>
which i first saw dead ahead at 120 paces <br/>
& reached on the 130th<br/>
an undressed & possibly natural rock outcrop with a<br/>
mod blue doo<br/>
but strongly suggesting 18th century<br/>

i must check the date in the bible tho<br/>

from there i decided to continue to the planned 6th<br/>
tripoint<br/>

to try her for the 5th of the day<br/>

for again i couldnt find my way to the right topo<br/>
swatch for a long time<br/>
& even when i thought i had finally bumbled onto it<br/>
my locational identifications were still tantalizingly<br/>
inconclusive<br/>

& i was beginning to wonder again if the very fact of<br/>
my being out of order wasnt costing me all hope of a<br/>
successful sexipopper<br/>
when <br/>
i saw the bears<br/>
<br/>
first the mother at about 50 yards<br/>
whose pic i will have to attach to the next message<br/>
since this one is full<br/>
so please stand by<br/>
& then the cub <br/>
70 or 80 feet up in a tree<br/>
