<div>&amp;&nbsp;i will rest for now on my previous best guess </div>

<div>based perhaps&nbsp;on&nbsp;some unrecorded&nbsp;or&nbsp;still&nbsp;elusive advice of the special master to the court</div>

<div>i found an incredibly silly 1876 denj pact that actually caused these states&nbsp;to&nbsp;draw &amp; monument jointly the impossibly difficult&nbsp;line to discern between&nbsp;delaware river &amp; delaware bay</div>

<div>or in other words </div>
<div>to define &amp; mark the&nbsp;corners of the mouth&nbsp;of the delaware river of all things</div>

<div>now isnt that too ridiculous to miss out on</div>
<div>since it has actually been legally done for us already</div>
<div>&amp;&nbsp;all i need to&nbsp;do is&nbsp;go find the markers</div>

<div>so as soon as i post this</div>
<div>its off to the dimples of the delaware</div>

<div>there are no known ghost arc rock positions</div>
<div>&amp; only 4 or 5 known or presumed positions of 1701 arc blazes</div>

<div>our kennett pennsbury hickory stump rock beauty</div>
<div>which supposedly marks the position of the westernmost known 1701 blaze</div>
<div>&amp; therefore also the tip of the horn</div>
<div>a less infamous geometrical bedfellow of the wedge</div>
<div>about which more later</div>
<div>is not explained or even mentioned&nbsp;by hodgkins</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>btw</div>
<div>the skinny on hodgkins &amp; mathews is that they are indeed the giants of depa &amp; mdpa respectively </div>
<div>&amp; together of demd as well</div>
<div>with hodgkins more&nbsp;the&nbsp;left brain heavy &amp; mathews more the right</div>

<div>together they give all anyone ever wanted to know about greater demdpa</div>

<div>including the&nbsp;mason &amp; dixon lines &amp; all the arcs</div>

<div>i also learned the best guessed position of the original&nbsp;1701 arc terminus</div>

<div>presenting yet another wild goose for me&nbsp;to&nbsp;chase on the way back to cream hill</div>

<div>not that there is even&nbsp;any hope of finding anything there</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&amp; of course all the exact data on everything else we have ever discussed about depa</div>
<div>like the rate of&nbsp;increase of the lengths of the radii west to east</div>
<div>&amp; the true&nbsp;causes of&nbsp;its changes</div>
<div>&amp; the directionality &amp;&nbsp;sequence of all the surveys</div>
<div>etc</div>

<div>the only&nbsp;blank not filled in&nbsp;being&nbsp;a date &amp; other particulars on the kennett pennsbury rock</div>
<div>for&nbsp;it still remains a perfect mystery too</div>

<div>hodgkins&nbsp;indicates the original blazed hickory tree it&nbsp;purports to&nbsp;mark became a stump in his own recent memory</div>
<div>so the rock must be contemporaneous with him or later</div>
<div>but no data have been found on its origin anywhere</div>

<div>indeed there is an added&nbsp;puzzle here because the hickory tree was said to have been on a stream bank </div>
<div>but this supposed&nbsp;replacement rock is not</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>not a problem for hodgkins</div>
<div>since he doesnt mention the rock</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>my guess is that it was just the 2 pennsylvania townships&nbsp;that erected this marker</div>
<div>some time after 1893</div>
<div>&amp; that it is obviously&nbsp;faux antique anyway&nbsp;</div>
<div>&amp; possibly without any&nbsp;delawarean participation besides</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>so maybe i will&nbsp;look for the answer to that one next in&nbsp;the local kennett &amp;or pennsbury libraries also</div>
