<div>i found pointed reference to 3 particular defense exhibits of usgs maps&nbsp;produced subsequent to the 1905 denj compact &amp; likely pursuant to it</div>
<div>that would appear to have influenced&nbsp;the courts&nbsp;placement of the lower denj arc position</div>
<div>more than the compact itself</div>
<div>so i had to run back in here to check these out</div>

<div>&amp; the most precise one&nbsp;of them turns out to be&nbsp;our old friend the 1931 topo of the 1926 survey sans artificial island</div>
<div>on which the arc strikes the left bank at 39d29m21s3</div>

<div>also&nbsp;</div>
<div>tho&nbsp;the report&nbsp;doesnt refer to it in this connection</div>
<div>a plaintiffs exhibit of an 1887&nbsp;geological survey of new jersey map revised in 1910 &amp; showing the&nbsp;depa arc fully extended&nbsp;across dry new jersey has it exiting the left bank at 39d29m26s8</div>

<div>the 1935&nbsp;judgment however </div>
<div>places that critical&nbsp;point as marked by monument 5 </div>

<div>so thats still over half a minute or half a mile of unexplained shortfall of radius</div>

<div>the left dimple of the mouth of the true alloways creek was selected as the arc location simply because all maps that show this arc&nbsp;</div>

<div>show&nbsp;it&nbsp;no farther north than that point</div>

<div>a deliberate minimalist&nbsp;judgment as it were by default</div>
<div>&amp; for lack of anything better</div>
