Does anyone remember the results of the case (old!) where some guy was
chasing another guy and the guy in back shot the guy in front. The
problem was that the guy in back was in a different state than the guy
he shot. It seems like this case was in deadlock for many years because
the courts couldn't determine which state the murder took place in.
Does anyone have any information on this?

This may sound a bit pedantic, but I've been wondering what would 
happen if a killer placed the corpse on an actual border. Say it was 
on a straight line border between two independent countries and it 
was clear that the body was actually in two countries. 
What would happen? What if there were no clues as to which side the 
murderer came from?
