(OED) states that a monument is &#39;anything enduring that serves to <br/>
commemorate or celebrate&#39;, but doesn&#39;t mention demarcation. Nor would I <br/>
really have considered using monument to describe a boundary post, but each <br/>
to their own.<br/>
