just reprovisioning & relaxing etc in this good old town while the
weather clears
but i cant help noticing there are still 3 more pearls to be had up
on the skyline drive south of here
with the foliage now at peak there
algrro probably at the rockytop summit point

alauro practically in the road
but still
will it be there
http://topozone.com/map.asp?lat=38.20667&lon=-78.74972
& alaune looking like a fitting piece of resistance for number 13

but i keep wondering why so few virginia tricounty markers have been
found even in the several easy & obvious places that i have scoured
quite carefully
let alone in the difficult remote ones
could it be that all these geodetic convergents have not actually
been marked on the ridge at all but have only been projected up to
it thru pairs of more convenient & easily eyeballable markers in the
valleys
or are they only written somewhere & not actually marked anywhere
i know this markerlessness isnt the case for all virginia counties
because i have found some of their lines fairly well marked
but maybe more data will emerge somewhere down the line
would sure love to see another good old standing rock at some point
tho
