but i keep wondering why so few virginia tricounty markers have been <br/>
found even in the several easy & obvious places that i have scoured <br/>
quite carefully<br/>
let alone in the difficult remote ones<br/>

could it be that all these geodetic convergents have not actually <br/>
been marked on the ridge at all but have only been projected up to <br/>
it thru pairs of more convenient & easily eyeballable markers in the <br/>
valleys<br/>

or are they only written somewhere & not actually marked anywhere<br/>
<br/>
i know this markerlessness isnt the case for all virginia counties<br/>
because i have found some of their lines fairly well marked<br/>
<br/>
but maybe more data will emerge somewhere down the line<br/>
<br/>
would sure love to see another good old standing rock at some point <br/>
