& here i must prolong my earlier apology
hahahaha
because i said the above in such haste

like all my stuff from big pine & now key west here
owing to the irregular conditions of internet access in paradise
everything is just hurled up to & from the message board on the wing

what i immediately wished i had had time to fully think & say
as soon as i had posted that
& even before your brilliant reriposte
was
we are still very much looking forward to your initial multipoint
visit report
because it ought to be a real doozer

& i would even like to propose a try or 3 in your neighborhood
since i am very interested in them & would enjoy any company or help
or both

the main event
i think
is the original mxtxus1836 ghost tricountry point
the only clearly defined de jure tricountry point ever to have taken
form or been dreamt up as it were within the usa

it is somewhere potentially very precise
yet very probably never officially marked
& possibly never even unofficially commemorated

somewhere in the great divide basin of south central wyoming

at nlat precisely 42 degrees x wlong precisely of the source of the
rio grande

so any try for 1836mxtxus1845
as this point might also be called in full
would have to be preceded by a very careful & thorough sawanabori of
the rio all the way up to the ridge line of the continental divide

& i know from my study of the headstreams of this river on topozone
that this will not be an easy task
but it might be great fun
first to just even fully try on topozone & then to check on foot

btw
the one other de jure ghost tricountry point possibility in the usa
1783esgbus1803
may fall at the point where the full mississippi river descends into
louisiana
if i have it all right

plus there was also a disputed 1783esgbus1803 vaguely in minnesota

& a defacto 18th century esfrgb somewhere probably in southern
georgia or alabama

& 2 defacto 17th century frgbnls
according to a dutch map
somewhere in quebec or new hampshire
& somewhere in western new york or pennsylvania

but thats it

slim pickins or a nice little list
led off by the one positively real one in your area as described above

& concluded
if anyone wanted to complete this local ensemble of try points
by the disputed & highly improbable 1819esgbusus1845 tricountry point
also on nlat 42 degrees in south central wyoming
& also on the continental divide
maybe some 50 miles or so west of the txmxus ghost

these are very special if not utterly unique points & worth the candle
dont you agree

& again this is hurled up at such high speed please be especially
generous about understanding it
or filling in any blanks
or again asking

out of time
