Your statement implies that the Lenape Indians had established this boundary before the 
arrival of the settlers.  Who was on the other side of the line at that time?

later as i was drifting toward the depa arc down the brandywine
a creek which btw looks just as delicious as it sounds
i saw another commemorative plaque which astonished me

it said there was a big rock just below there on the bank
tho out of view
so i had to take it on faith
which marked the lower boundary of the lenape indians
their upper boundary being the source of the brandywine itself

this was the first indian boundary marker stone i had ever heard of
