just spoke with kevin vaughn
the surveyor of vawv down to mdvawv in 1997
& writer of the account of it in the link below
& he told me the terminal marker is right up there by the road
which i do recall having noticed & wondered about circa 2000
hahaha
but that there is in fact no demarcation whatsoever below it
& none at the mdvawv tripoint in particular

so no need to climb boulders or visit the county land offices etc

however
we can very much look forward to the next drought
because he will be sending me the geocoordinates of the exact
tristate point as determined & published by his survey even if not
actually marked by it
& i doubt there will ever be a more accurate or more authoritative
determination

so give him a couple of days
& give mother nature perhaps a couple of years
tho i am pleased to report mdvawv will imminently be visitable in
a kayak class b

& you can expect white water with an enormous hole in it right
about there at the tripoint position just now

but anyway stay tuned for the coords
