yes this is a typical but very thorough secondary monumentation
filling in gaps
& nailing down any remaining minor loose ends
& replacing or repairing any old markers that need it

supposedly complete demarcations are never really complete

the cnvn border is very complicated
& had until now only 1 monument every 2 or 3 miles
on the average
with many much bigger gaps in rugged & remote areas
