thru the isles of shoals was awaiting supreme court consent when that book<br/>
went to press in 1975<br/>

& the map we have i think all been using dates from 1973<br/>
<br/>
so i am wondering how or where to seek the details of this by now very<br/>
likely supreme fait accompli & legal document<br/>
<br/>
& not only for the sake of the subject cardinal points above<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
for such a document  if it exists  seems likely to have set important<br/>
precedent by fully extending the menh line all the way out to the 3nm arc<br/>
line<br/>
  which had only just become legally established itself in 1953<br/>
<br/>
  or else the doc will indicate there is no such extension<br/>
  nor connection<br/>
    however unimaginable that state of affairs may be<br/>
<br/>
but if my guess is right<br/>
then this doc or one like it seems to be the necessary missing link for<br/>
ascertaining the legal positions of all 18 of the united states federal<br/>
waters tripoints<br/>
  whether they individually ever become legally definite or not<br/>
& in fact many new state cardinals as well<br/>
