There is a great monument, "Mitad del Mundo", (Middle of the World), in
Ecuador: http://ute.edu.ec/~mjativa/ce/mitadmundo.html
Stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern.
Only problem is, it is at the intersection of the equator and nothing in
particular...
