& makes it clear there are no official tristate points in australia other<br/>
than the new south wales pair<br/>
  one of which is even given an official name there<br/>
& no official trifederative points other than the northern territory pair<br/>
  of which both enjoy official names<br/>

yes they evidently think even more of their unorthodox tripoints down there<br/>
than their orthodox ones<br/>
& the site makes it clear they are more advanced than the usa & canada in<br/>
these & other ways too<br/>

the search for ozzy maritime tripoints took a real dousing there tho<br/>
<br/>
it turns out the tasmania victoria interstate boundary is defined there as<br/>
a declared parallel line of latitude<br/>
  namely 39d 12m south<br/>
separating the 2 states<br/>
<br/>
but it is only the fact that this line crosses arifs boundary islet that<br/>
produces any real border at all<br/>
<br/>
the rest of the line thruout bass straight is apparently not a real boundary<br/>
but only an imaginary line for allocating islands to one state or the other<br/>
& thus it would seem to just fade into oblivion wherever it runs out of islands<br/>
<br/>
the impression given by this site as a whole is that all ozzy coastal<br/>
waters are probably common wealth<br/>
  much like canadian crown waters<br/>
& thus they apparently constitute a federative entity just like the 6<br/>
states & 10 other commonwealth territories do<br/>

in fact there is no official recognition of any maritime boundaries here<br/>
so i would have just quit for the easy day & said qed<br/>
were it not for that one nagging marine sector of the jervis bay boundary<br/>
on the official map which brendan posted recently<br/>

with that highly curious detail aside<br/>
i would venture to guess at this point that there are a full dozen extra &<br/>
unofficial but real trifederative points where the 12 countem ozzy<br/>
interstate & federative borders reach the seacost<br/>
  on the low tide tide is a best guess<br/>
& thus in a swell foop we might quadruple the ozzy tripoint roster from 4<br/>
to 16 unbeknownst even to their highly advanced government<br/>
