thanx artur for this very interesting find
leading also to
http://ssdc.ucsd.edu/news/claea/h98/claea.19980212.html
which updates the hnnisv tridominium situation
with fresh news
up to about 5 years ago that is
but things are clearly not moving very fast there anyway

also
the word demarcation seems very strange here
suggesting a possible mistranslation

i will look into this
but i think the word demarcar in spanish may not necessarily
indicate the emplacement of markers onto the surface of the
earth or sea
but might simply refer to any careful definition or delineation
such as by marking up maps
or precise geopositioning of turnpoints
etc

not sure of this
but if i do have it right
& as there is no mention of actual markers in the article
& while i havent seen the text of the agreement
which might also clear the matter up
i am inclined to believe this cohn maritime boundary has actually
not been marked on the sea & might never even have been
intended to be marked on the sea
