I know Germans and Americans don't like each other,
but this is pretty ridiculous. My e-mail to Chris
just got bounced with the reason "does not like
recipient". So I will have to use the egroup to relay
my message to him. To anybody interested, this
involves our search for Swiss local oddities.

<Message to Chris>

The confirmation for the quadripoints is quite awesome
to hear. There seems to be only two local
quadripoints in the world and both seems to be Swiss.
The quadripoint discussion just confirmed my belief
that egroups such as this and internet in general has
been a huge boon for us geography aficinados.
I was aware of the two fragments of Luzern but as they
are connected if you include the lake, I haven't
mentioned it. If you are including the fragments of
Luzern on your web page, you might as well include the
bird sanctuary of Neuchatel that is between to the
corridor of Fribourg next to Vaud and Bern. I am
planning to add them in a Switzerland enclave page
with a bit more detail than what is on my page now.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the quadripoint you are
looking for in Luzern does not exist. It is a very
thin corridor instead. The corridor is only
approximately 10 meters wide. Please check out the
Luzern map sites on my slightly updated link page.
The main site is http://geoinfo2.lu.ch/ for you to
choose an arcims map site from.
Arif
