), there used to be a boundary cross linking Kienberg (SO) to the
rest of Solothurn, the other bordering cantons being Basel-Land and
Aargau. Maybe (but I don't have modern detailed maps of the area)
this is not the actual situation, though. I found at
http://www.baselland.ch/docs/archive/chronik/chro1981/sep1981.htm a
mentioning of a boundary adjustment between BL and SO in '81.

If there is a connection, it must be a tiny one.
